Dijit IA (Beta)

The assistant is a chat inside the application. You ask it the way you would ask a colleague: in plain words, with no category to pick and no fields to complete. It is one click away from any screen, and it does not lose the thread of what you told it earlier.

Top bar › Dijit IA (Beta)

Three ways to open it

All three lead to the same chat and share the same conversation: what you typed in the panel is still there when you move to the full page.

From whereWhat it opensWhen it suits
Top bar, the Dijit IA (Beta) buttonA panel on the right, without leaving the screen you are on.A quick question while you are checking a document.
Side menu, Help › Dijit IA (Beta)The full page, with the history beside it.A long conversation, or picking up an earlier one.
Dashboard, the assistant cardYou type there and, on sending, the full page opens with your message already on its way.Starting the day by simply asking.

The side panel has three buttons in its header: new conversation, open in full page and close. Closing it loses nothing: open it again and the conversation is where you left it.

On the dashboard, the usual block of charts and counters sits below, folded away under Your data. One click opens it, and the application remembers how you left it on that device.

The first screen

With the conversation empty, the chat shows a welcome, a note on how support is reached and four suggestions that send with one click. They stand as examples of the three kinds of question it understands:

How the conversation works

  1. Type and send. Enter sends the message; Shift + Enter starts a new line, for writing more than one paragraph.
  2. Wait for the answer. Three dots appear while the assistant is typing. It takes between two and thirty seconds, longer when it has to look up your data. Sending stays blocked until it finishes, so two questions cannot overlap.
  3. Keep asking. The assistant remembers what has been said in that conversation, so you can follow up without repeating the background.

Answers come formatted: bold, numbered lists, tables and links. Links to this documentation open in a new tab, so the conversation is not lost.

To start afresh, New conversation. It is worth doing whenever the subject changes: a conversation about one thing gets sharper answers, and if it ends in a ticket, the ticket does not mix subjects.

The conversation history

On the full page, the left-hand column lists your conversations, most recent first, with the opening question as the title, the date and a status:

StatusWhat it means
OpenThe conversation is still live. It can be picked up whenever.
Sent to supportIt ended in a ticket. The support team replies by email.
SolvedThe matter was treated as closed.

Clicking a conversation redraws the whole thread, your messages and the assistant's. And it is not read-only: you can carry on, and the assistant still remembers what was said in it.

The history belongs to each user. Two people at the same company do not see each other's conversations.

Language and availability

The assistant answers in the language of your interface: Spanish, English, French or Portuguese. Writing to it in that language is all it takes.

It is available to every user on every plan. There is a ceiling of 200 messages a day per user, far above anything ordinary use reaches, and there only to prevent abuse.

Things that come up

What happensWhyWhat to do
"The assistant is not available right now" A momentary failure while the answer was being produced. Retry with the button on the notice. Sending the same message again is safe: nothing is duplicated.
"You have reached the daily limit of the assistant" The 200 messages for the day have been used. Carry on tomorrow, or write to support directly for anything urgent.
The send button is greyed out Either the message is empty, or the assistant is still answering. Wait for the three dots to disappear.
The top-bar button does nothing You are already on the assistant's full page. The chat is the one on that screen; the panel does not open on top of it.
The answer takes a while The question means looking up company data. Wait. Half a page of purchase figures takes longer than a question about use.
