Monitor Informática
Monitor works by report export, and adds something the others do not have: fields of its own scattered across the application, on the records, on the documents and on the chart of accounts, which have to be understood for the entry to come out complete.

The reports
| Report | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Purchases report | Purchase and expense invoices. |
| Sales report | Sales documents. |
They download over the documents ticked, and the application confirms the download. From there they are loaded into Monitor following its own procedure.
The fields of its own
This is what makes this integration particular: fields appear that do not exist with other ERPs.
| Where | What appears |
|---|---|
| The supplier's record | The supplier's transaction type. |
| The document's header | Supplier and client transaction type. |
| The document's header | The paid or collected in cash switch. |
| Chart of accounts, suppliers and clients | A column and a filter by company. |
The transaction type fields do not appear if the integration is not switched on, so their presence is the sign that the account works with Monitor.
Separation by company
With Monitor, the three master lists, nominal accounts, suppliers and clients, are handled per company: a filter appears at the top and a column saying which company each record belongs to.
It is what lets you keep several entities' books without their mixing. And it is also the commonest reason something appears "not to be there": there is a company filter applied.
Paid or collected in cash
The switch on the document's header has a specific effect on the entry. The application explains it:
Turn it on if the invoice is paid through the till. Monitor will generate the payment entry using the supplier's or client's sub-account and the bank account set on the client's record.
In other words, ticking it generates a second entry, the payment one, on top of the invoice's.
The bank account
The payment entry needs the company's bank account. If it is not set, the application warns you as you turn the switch on: the client has no bank account set, and the payment entry will not be generated until one is set on the client's record.
The document saves anyway and the switch stays on. What is missing is the entry. It is set on the company's record, in its accounting information block.
Before exporting
- Check you are in the right company, with its filter applied.
- Go over the documents' supplier, dates, net, VAT and accounts.
- Check the transaction types where they apply.
- If any document is on cash terms, check the company has a bank account.
- Tick the documents and download the report.
Things that come up
| What you see | Why | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| The payment entry for a cash invoice is missing | The company had no bank account when it was saved. | Set it on the company's record and save the document again. |
| A supplier or an account is not there | There is a company filter on. | Change the filter or clear it. |
| The transaction type fields are not there | The integration is not switched on for the company. | Check with support. |
| The report comes out empty | No documents of the right type are ticked. | Tick them and try again. |
| Duplicate entries in Monitor | The same report was loaded twice. | Keep a record of the periods already loaded. |
