Signing in and passwords

You reach Dijit.app at portal.dijit.app, using the email address you gave when you signed up and the password you were sent. The application runs on the web and nothing is installed.

Signing in

The sign-in screen asks for two things:

FieldWhat goes in it
EmailThe address you gave when signing up. It is your username.
PasswordThe one emailed to you at sign-up, or the one your account administrator set.

Fill both in and press Sign In. If either is wrong you get the same message, Invalid username or password, without being told which one it was.

The same screen is where new accounts start signing up.

Resetting a forgotten password

Reset password on the sign-in screen starts it off:

  1. Enter the email address on the account.
  2. Open the message that arrives and follow the link in it.
  3. Set the new password.

The link does not last for ever. Once it has expired the screen says the token is not valid and you have to start the request again.

Changing your password inside the application

Once you are signed in, your password is changed from the Account block of the menu, under the change password option. You do not need to go through the reset process.

It is worth doing straight after your first sign-in, to replace the password that was emailed to you.

Signing out

Logout sits in the profile menu on the top bar. It ends your session on that browser.

Why access is refused

What you seeUsual causeWhat to do
Invalid username or password Stray spaces from copying and pasting, or caps lock on. Type your details in by hand before you start a password reset.
The sign-up credentials never arrived The message was treated as spam. Look in that folder. Failing that, your account administrator can reissue access from the user management screen.
Access that used to work and has stopped The user has been switched off, or the company account is locked. Ask your account administrator.
A notice saying the free trial is over The fourteen days ran out with no plan started. The account stops, with nothing charged. The notice itself has a button to write to support and start the subscription. Your documents stay where they are.
Account locked after cancelling a trial Cancelling a free trial locks the account immediately and for good. It cannot be recovered. You need a new account on a paid plan.
Reset link not valid The link has expired or has already been used. Ask for a new reset.
