How the interface is laid out

The application has three areas: the menu down the left, the bar across the top, and the content in the middle. The menu is grouped into seven blocks, and what it holds changes with how the account is set up and what the user is allowed to see.

BlockWhat is in it
HomeThe dashboard: how much has been processed, summaries of purchases, expenses and sales, your main suppliers, and how much of the plan you have used.
DocumentsThree folders that stay open: Purchases (goods received notes, purchase invoices, DUA and transport), Expenses (expense invoices and payroll) and Sales (delivery notes and sales invoices). Inside each, only the lists switched on for the account.
ManagementReceived products, purchase orders, recipe costings and projects.
DatabaseClient master, supplier master, product master, product categories and the external product catalogue.
AccountingChart of accounts.
AccountYour profile, changing your password, email connections, the Dropbox connection, clients and companies, users, your plan and your subscription invoices.
HelpThe Dijit IA (Beta), the Help Center with news and guides, and the Ágora POS guide on accounts with that integration.

Hover over any entry and a short description of it appears.

Documents: one list per type

The Documents block holds separate lists. Each has its own address and its own set of columns and actions:

Menu entryAddress
Delivery Notes/documents/albaranesnext
Sales Delivery Notes/documents/albaranesVenta
DUA (Customs)/documents/albaranesnext, with the DUA type
Purchase Invoices/documents/facturas
Expense Invoices/documents/facturasGastos
Sales Invoices/documents/facturasVentas
Transport Invoices/documents/facturasTransporte
Received products (delivery notes)/documents/albaranesgen

Whichever list you upload from decides what the document is. Upload a purchase invoice from the delivery notes list and it is filed as a delivery note. Putting that right afterwards means moving it between types.

The top bar

Browser zoom

If the application looks enlarged, if a table has to be scrolled sideways to be read, or if menu options appear to be missing, the usual cause is the browser's zoom rather than the application.

The browser keeps the zoom per website, and it is changed by accident with the Ctrl key and the mouse wheel.

SystemBack to 100 %
Windows and LinuxCtrl and 0
MacCmd and 0

At a high zoom the window behaves like a small screen: table columns are hidden, the action bar regroups and the side menu folds away. Back at 100 %, everything reappears.

On a phone

On screens of 600 pixels or less the application opens Quick Access instead of the dashboard. It holds upload buttons for each document type and a link through to the desktop version.

Help Center

Help → Help Center is where the news and the guides live. The news items record what has changed and when; the guides walk through particular jobs.

Why two accounts do not see the same menu

The menu is not the same everywhere. Two things decide it:

So a screen mentioned somewhere in this documentation may not be there in your account. When that happens, it is one of those two reasons.
